About us
Our ethos is one of acceptance and respect for each other and ourselves. We ensure every child has an equal opportunity to access all activities and experiences we offer.
All our staff are well qualified and experienced and have the opportunity to access training for their personal and professional development. We also offer support to volunteers, apprentices and students working towards a childcare qualification and local school work experience.
We are registered with Ofsted. Our last inspection was carried out in July 2024. The outcome was overall “Good”.
All our children inevitably move on to school and the wider world. We want them to take forward the seeds of the life skills and knowledge they began to develop with us.
We will endeavour to achieve a high quality of care and education with a broad based and balanced approach, embracing the themes and principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Activities are initiated by the children’s interests and strengths, providing opportunities to enhance every child’s experience whilst allowing them to have fun as they learn.

The Early Years Foundation Stage
At Park School Day Nursery, we follow the EYFS which sets the learning and development standards for children birth to five years old. We endeavour to achieve high quality care and education with a broad based and balanced approach embracing the themes and principles of the EYFS.
All children are provided with experiences in all seven areas of learning and development depending upon their age and stage of development.
Activities are regularly inspired from children’s interests and strengths. Staff provide the children with the opportunity to enhance and extend their experiences as well as offering challenges to their learning, whilst keeping the element of fun as they learn.
We make good use of the local park and library for short walks and events such as sports day and graduation. We visit the local shops and have many visitors which include the vet, primary school teachers, the police and fire service.
We have a highly experienced Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator who supports both staff and children and we work closely with other professionals when a child has been identified as having an additional need. These include the Lincolnshire County Council’s Early Years and Childcare Support Service, Health Visitors and Speech and Language Therapists.
The Key Person
Every child has a Key Person. A child’s Key Person is there to help them and their family settle into nursery as smoothly as possible. The Key Person will support transition visits, learn what makes a child happy, e.g. having their favourite snugly and what might make the child unsettled or nervous, e.g. sudden noises. Our Settling in Policy will be followed.
